We Use Tracking Tools

We collect personal information about users over time and across different websites when you use our websites and app. We also have third parties that collect personal information this way. To do this, we use several common tracking tools. They may include browser cookies. We may also use web beacons, flash cookies, and similar technologies. To learn more about what tracking tools are and how they work visit here.

Our vendors or third parties may place and use these tools on our sites or apps. In this policy, “we” and “us” refers to Gala Capital Partners and our brands and affiliates. It also includes our vendors and third parties who place tools on our sites and apps.

Why We Use Tracking Tools

We use tracking tools for many reasons, including to engage in interest-based advertising. Interest-based advertising or “online behavioral advertising” is serving advertising content to you based on information gathered from you over time across multiple sites and other platforms. It includes serving ads to you after you leave our website, encouraging you to return. It also includes serving ads we think are relevant based on your browsing habits or online activities. These ads might be served on websites or on apps. They might also be served in emails. We might serve these ads, or third parties may serve ads. They might be about our products or other companies’ products.

We also use tracking tools:

To recognize new visitors to our websites.

To recognize past customers.

To present more personalized content, to improve your website experience, optimize your shopping experience, and provide site and service enhancements.

To observe your behaviors and browsing activities over time across multiple websites or other platforms.

So we can better understand our audience, our customers, our website visitors, and their respective interests.

How We Gather Information For Interest-Based Advertising

We use information you make available to us when you interact with us, our affiliates, and other third parties to decide what content is relevant to you. We gather this information using the tracking tools described above. For example, we or our partners might look at your purchases or browsing behaviors. We or our partners might also look at your location. We might look at these activities on our platforms or the platforms of others. We work with third parties who help gather this information. These third parties might link your name or email address to other information they collect. That might include past purchases made offline or online. Or, it might include online usage information.

How to Control Certain Tracking Tools

Your browser may give you the ability to control cookies. How you do so depends on the type of cookie. You can be set your browser to reject cookies. To find out more about how to control cookies from your web browser, please visit here. To control flash cookies, which we may use, you can go here. Why? Because flash cookies cannot be controlled through your browser settings.

Our Do Not Track Policy: Some browsers have “do not track” features that allow you to tell a website not to track you. These features are not all uniform. We do not currently respond to those signals. If you block cookies, certain features on our sites may not work. If you block or reject cookies, not all of the tracking described here will stop.

Choices you make are both browser and device specific.

How to Control Interest-Based Advertising

The third parties we work with participate in the Self-Regulatory Program for Online Behavioral Advertising. This program provides consumers with the ability to opt-out of having their online behavior recorded and used for advertising purposes. If you want to opt out, visit http://www.aboutads.info/choices/.

The Digital Advertising Alliance also offers a tool for opting out of the collection of cross-app data on a mobile device for interest-based advertising. To exercise choice for companies participating in this tool, download the AppChoices app here.

Choices you make are both browser and device specific.

This Cookie & Interest-Based Advertising Policy (“Cookie Policy”) explains how Rusty Taco and its parent, Gala Capital Partners (“GCP,” “we,” or “us”), and the vendors and third parties that place tools on our sites and apps, use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our consumer websites and mobile applications. It supplements, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect, use, and disclose personal information and describes your privacy rights and choices. In this Cookie Policy, “we” and “us” refers to Gala Capital Partners and our brands and affiliates, and also includes our vendors and the third parties that place tools on our sites and apps.

1. We Use Tracking Technologies

We and our third-party partners collect personal information about users over time and across different websites and apps when you use our sites and apps. To do this, we use several common tracking technologies, which may include browser cookies, web beacons (also called pixels or clear GIFs), software development kits (SDKs) within our apps, and local or session storage. A cookie is a small data file placed on your device; a web beacon is a small object embedded in a web page or email that helps us understand activity such as whether a page or message was viewed. These technologies may be placed and used on our sites and apps by us or by our vendors and third parties.

2. Types of Tracking Technologies We Use

The technologies we use generally fall into the following categories:

CategoryPurpose
Strictly necessaryEnable core functions of our sites and apps, such as security, network management, and remembering items in your cart. These are required for the sites and apps to work and cannot be switched off in our systems.
Functional / preferencesRemember choices you make—such as language, saved locations, or your favorite restaurant—to personalize and improve your experience.
Performance / analyticsHelp us understand how visitors find and use our sites and apps (for example, through analytics tools such as Google Analytics) so we can measure and improve performance.
Advertising / targetingSet by us or by our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and to deliver relevant ads on our sites and apps and on those of others, including by email. See Sections 3–4.

3. Why We Use Tracking Technologies

We use tracking technologies for many reasons, including to engage in interest-based advertising. Interest-based advertising (also called “online behavioral advertising”) means serving advertising content to you based on information gathered about you over time and across multiple sites, apps, and platforms. It includes serving ads to you after you leave our website to encourage you to return, and serving ads we believe are relevant based on your browsing habits or online activities. These ads may be served on websites, in apps, or in emails; may be served by us or by third parties; and may relate to our products or the products of other companies.

We also use tracking technologies:

  • to recognize new visitors to our sites and apps;
  • to recognize past customers;
  • to present more personalized content and to improve, optimize, and enhance your experience;
  • to observe behaviors and browsing activities over time across multiple sites, apps, and platforms; and
  • to better understand our audience, customers, and visitors and their interests.

4. How We Gather Information for Interest-Based Advertising

We use information you make available to us when you interact with us, our affiliates, and other third parties to determine what content is relevant to you, and we gather this information using the tracking technologies described above. For example, we or our partners may consider your purchases, your browsing behavior, and your location, on our platforms and on those of others. We work with third parties who help gather this information, and some of these third parties may link your name or email address to other information they collect, which may include past purchases made online or offline, or online usage information. We do not use sensitive personal information to serve interest-based advertising, and we do not knowingly permit the collection of personal information from consumers under 16 years of age for the sale or sharing of that information or for targeted advertising.

5. Your Choices: Controlling Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookie preferences. Where available, you can manage non-essential cookies and similar technologies through our cookie-preferences or “Your Privacy Choices” tool on our websites.

Browser and device controls. Most web browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings; how you do so depends on the browser. On mobile devices, you can use your device settings to limit ad tracking and reset or delete your advertising identifier. Because these controls are stored per browser and per device, any choices you make are browser- and device-specific, and you will need to renew them if you change browsers or devices or clear your cookies.

Effect of blocking. If you block or reject cookies, some features of our sites and apps may not work properly, and not all of the tracking described in this Cookie Policy will necessarily stop.

6. Your Choices: Global Privacy Control and State Opt-Out Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information and of targeted (interest-based) advertising. Because we engage in interest-based advertising and permit third parties to collect information through tracking technologies, some of these activities may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) and similar laws in Texas, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states. To exercise this right, you may use our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” / “Your Privacy Choices” link, or contact us at privacy@galacapitalpartners.com or 1-800-653-3517.

Global Privacy Control (GPC). We honor recognized universal opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising for the browser or device from which the signal is sent, as required by applicable state law. To use GPC, enable it in a supported browser or browser extension.

7. Your Choices: Industry Opt-Out Tools

Many of the third parties we work with participate in industry self-regulatory programs for online behavioral advertising that let you opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies:

  • Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA): http://www.aboutads.info/choices/;
  • Network Advertising Initiative (NAI): https://optout.networkadvertising.org/; and
  • for mobile apps, the DAA’s AppChoices app, available from your app store, which lets you opt out of the collection of cross-app data on your mobile device.

These industry opt-outs are also stored per browser and per device and are cookie-based, so they may not persist if you change browsers or devices or clear your cookies. Opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean you will stop seeing ads—only that the ads you see may be less relevant to your interests.

8. “Do Not Track” Signals

Some browsers offer a legacy “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that lets you signal a preference not to be tracked. Because there is no uniform industry or legal standard for recognizing and responding to DNT signals, we do not respond to DNT signals. As described in Section 6, however, we do honor the Global Privacy Control and other recognized universal opt-out preference signals.

9. Relationship to Our Privacy Policy

This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy. For a full description of the personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how long we keep it, and the privacy rights available to you—including the rights to access, correct, delete, and appeal, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information—please review our Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between this Cookie Policy and our Privacy Policy regarding tracking technologies, this Cookie Policy controls.

10. Updates and Contact

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time and will post the updated version with a new “Last Updated” date. If you have questions, contact the Gala Capital Partners Privacy Office at 3191 Red Hill Avenue, Suite 200, Costa Mesa, CA 92626; privacy@galacapitalpartners.com; or 1-800-653-3517.
